For 25 years I have painted in oils - I consider them my main media for studio work, as almost anything is possible with oil paint - you can create great depth and rich, vivid colour - it also has a sculptural quality, which is ideal for simulating realistic textures.

I switch to heavy body acrylic paint for mural painting. They perform similarly to oils, though they dry much faster and have the desired durability.

I like to break the rules of watercolour. Employing experimental techniques and the methods of the nineteenth century masters - to develop watercolour paintings much closer to the richness of oil painting.
